X9Ware Software Escrow is a service which is provided through NCC (who acquired Iron Mountain Escrow Services). NCC is an industry leader for data and records management. When you sign up for this product, your company will be added to a master agreement which is administered by Iron Mountain Escrow Management. Each new release of X9Assist, X9Utilities, and our SDK is updated through an escrow deposit that is provided to Iron Mountain as part of our release management procedures. This escrow deposit is then warehoused and managed by NCC on an independent basis. They provide email notification to all of our registered escrow product customers when they have received and confirmed each new software escrow deposit.
Our individual escrow deposits contain more than just our source code. It also defines our automated build process, which is based on Gradle, using ProGuard, Jpackage, and Jlink. It similarly defines our usage of an internal Git Repository which is used to store all software components. It includes all information regarding our website construction and a history of some of the technology changes we have made through the years. It defines the short list of open source tools that are required by our build and the reasons behind their usage. The X9Ware Technical Manual is updated on a continuous basis by X9Ware and is included in our escrow management software deposit as provided to Iron Mountain.
The technical manual identifies all desktop tools that are used by our technical team to both build our new releases as well as to support our user base on a day to day basis. It identifies the short list of open source tools that are required by our build and the reasons behind their usage. The X9Ware Technical Manual is updated on a continuous basis by X9Ware and is included in our escrow management software deposit as provided to NCC.
