X9Ware provides a series of downloads for our desktop products, which are compiled specifically for the Windows environment. These downloads will run on all versions of Windows (from Windows XP through Windows 10). Our recommendation is always to install our most current production release, since it offers the latest functionality and includes corrections to all reported issues. In addition, we provide several prior older releases as well, which may be relevant for certain environments subject to their specific needs. Finally, we also users to download our current candidate build, which is a “work in progress” and tracks against our application development work for the next release.

All of our desktop application tools (X9Lite, X9Vision, X9Validator, X9Assist, AchValidator, and AchAssist) are supported from a single application download. Specific product functionality is activated based on the entered product name and associated license key. This means that you should download X9Assist to obtain access to any of our desktop products.

X9Lite is our freeware tool that allow x9 files to be opened and browsed but does not support x9 validation and shows front side images only. X9Vision is a basic x9 file browser that adds back side item images. Many more advance functions are activated and available in X9Validator and X9Assist. Once installed, you can flip back and forth between X9Lite and X9Assist Evaluation using the Options tab.

X9Assist Evaluation provides access to all functionality but with a limited file size. This single download can then be subsequently activated for any of our products using a registration key that is provided upon your decision to move forward with product licensing.

Our desktop installation packages are optimized and packaged using 100% Java related tools. We use JPackage/JLink to create a distribution within a stripped down JVM, which eliminates the need for our customers to have a JVM installed on their workstation or server. This technical environment provides numerous advantages. X9Assist is launched using an EXE, just as any other Windows application. After much comparative testing, we have found our current environment to be extremely high performance and perform better than alternative solutions.
